              The Visual Event

Oliver Klimpel, Britt Helbig & System-Design Class, Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig (DE)

            2. The project explores a (graphic) design practice that extends beyond the familiar artifact-production – and outside formats of the current graphics discourse, that are books and printed matter. The works shown here pursue aspects of the eventness in visual experiences in various manifestations, forms and media. Part of the display is the presentation of the book The Visual Event, which showcases relating students’ work as well as numerous international guests’ contributions. Furthermore, a set of social events will take place in this exhibition space in the first three days of the Brno Biennial, to which all visitors and exhibitors are invited to.
